Event Report: BELTON International

A very sunny and successful Belton International!

We made the long trip North over the weekend to one of my favourite events, Belton International Horse Trials in Lincolnshire and what a successful couple of days it turned to be.

VIVIAN 47 felt class! Lying second after the dressage she went on to jump the most mega double clear. She has so much scope and is so bold and honest across the country. I feel very lucky to be riding her this season. It felt fantastic to have such a confident second run together, she is improving every day and I can’t wait for the rest of the season with her.

Next up was CAFRE FIRST MELODY and she wasn’t to be out done by her stable mate. Melody led the dressage on an impressive score of 25, sadly she rolled a pole show jumping but actually jumped very well. She then went on to jump the most awesome clear round across the country, she really is so much fun to ride and is a very very exciting horse for the future. It was great to have her owner Paul Kullich with us to see her do so well.

Sadly E WARRANTSSON knocked himself in the stable and we made the decision to withdraw him, he has a big season ahead and is far too special to risk.

A gold star has to go to Helen Bates who is based with me. She finished 8thin a very competitive CCI3*S after jumping a very classy double clear.

Sadly there was no time to enjoy the sun, as we headed straight back home and back to the grind because we have eight horses heading to Portman Horse Trials on Tuesday and Wednesday.

As ever a massive thank you to my Team, Owners and Sponsors without the continue support none of this would be possible.
