One Busy Weeks Leads in to Another

With just over a month until the season starts the training and pre-season preparations continue.

Last weekend I headed home to Grimsby for some dressage training with Dizzy (PARKFIELD DISTINCTIVE) and Melody (REHY MELODY PFB) and to catch up with family and friends.

Back home on Monday and straight back to it with the older horses show jumping on Tuesday, Sneezy (MR SNEEZY) was a winner in the Fox Hunter, and Quinty (PARKFIELD QUINTESSENTIAL) finished 3rd in the Fox Hunter and jumped a clear round in 1.30m with the others horses all going well.

Wednesday it was the turn of the babies, they were all a little spooked in the first rounds with them each rolling a pole but they jumped some beautiful clears second time round!

Thursday and it was more show jumping this time at West Wilts with the 6 year olds while Lydia and James went off hunting with the 5 year olds 🤦🏼‍♀

We also have a new member of the team, the Italian rider Elenora Boschi (Young Rider Individual Silver medalist at Malmo, Sweden and a member of the Italian Team for the FEI Nations Cup in Boekelo 2017) has joined the team to help with some of the riding, and she's been doing a brilliant schooling the ponies at home while I've been out and about competing the other horses.

Oh, and there's some very exciting news Luke (DHI LUPISON) had his first Trot since coming back in to work while we out hacking earlier in the week 😁😁😁 there is a still a long way to go in his rehabillation back to competition fitness but it's so good to be back on board😁
